Church Pews
At Chilton Church Antiques we offer a high standard of antique church pews. We travel the length and breadth of the UK to search out high quality church furnishings to offer for sale to the trade and public. We deal with all denominations and deal with the removal and transport of all church furnishings ourselves.
Our church pews are sourced from churches nationwide and are brought back to our workshop in Lancashire where they can be reconstructed to almost any length. The pews pictured on this page are one of a set from the church so the one pictured will be sold first and then when ordered the others will be constructed.
Our 2 seater antique church pew is ideal for any home but if a specific size is required please call us as our pews can be made to measure to almost any size. The prices below are specifically for the dimensions that are listed, for longer pews the price will be altered. Please note that our measurements are for the entire length of the pews from outside end to outside end. The Crosby Pew Stock Code 0159 A beautiful warm toned pew in pitch pine wtih curved arms and a panelled back. These pews, originally from Crosby are in wondrful condition and can be made to measure to fit your home. The Roundel Pew Stock Code 0158 This wonderful, very traditional style pew has a lovely tongue and grove back, curved arms and the added feature of a roundel on each end. The Straight Elbow Pew Stock Code 0157 A beautiful and versatile pew, perfect for anywhere in your home. Originally from a church in Blackpool we only have vey small number of these. Guildford Priest College Pew Stock Code 0156 A highly unusual and heavily carved pew made from pitch pine which itself is unusual as it is a much more difficult timber to carve compared to the more commonly used oak. These were originally in place at a church which was part of a priest training college near Guildford, built in 1895. Beautiful features include a carved poppy head and a dolphin carved into the elbow of the pew with its tail curving up towards the poppy head. The dolphin is also featured within the poppy head itself. We have just 2 of these available and can be built up to 2000 mm in length if needed.. Wigan Quatrefoil Pew Stock Code 0155 Here we have a good solid pitch pine pew with a wide chamfer running all around the pew ends along with a nicely carved quatrefoil giving these pews a subtle gothic look. Stripped Manchester Pew Stock Code 0154 The unstripped version of this pew is further down the page - Machester Pew stock code 0153. This one has been stripped back to it's original state and then waxed. It has a tongue and groove back and gently curving arms. Gothic Fleetwood Pew Stock Code Oak 015 Here we have a traditional gothic style pew in a lovely warm worn oak colour. The quality of the oak used is supreme with no expense spared at the time. A little more modern than some of our pews, these date to 1938 when the church was built. St Helens Pew Stock Code Oak 017 Great looking oak pew. The double panel end and the top caps create a Art Deco look. The church was built in around 1930. The seat has an extra moulding on the front edge to create a lovely feature on the front of the pew. Lengths of up to 3000 mm available. Pitch pine pew with tongue and groove panels finished with a moulded top rail. Good strong simple design with lovely patination from years of being sat on regularly.

Folding Cast Iron and Pitch Pine Bench Stock Code 0151
Great quality bench with cast iron supports. It was made by Unity Iron and Wood Co of Padiham in the late 1800's and have been in the original church until we recently purchased them. The seat and kneeler rail both fold up so it does not take up as much room so good for tight spaces both in the home or garden. The decorative casting is a well noted design by this company and the name Unity is cast into the bench end just under the seat.
